Combining all the hopes and expectations of a man who fights for the rights of children with special needs but also the mother who is close to them, protects them, offers them emotional and therapeutic support, Adela Hanafi builds step by step, a complex therapy center, developed on criteria scientific.
The CONIL therapy center is the place where the intensive therapeutic recovery program for children with special needs but also for children with emotional disorders begins (hypersensitivity, recovery from trauma, various phobias)
The two Conil Centers have a capacity of 70 seats and have a team of specialists with over 10 years of experience working with children with autism, Down Syndrome, epilepsy, spasticity, mild and moderate retardation, ADHD, hyperkinesia and children. with emotional problems, trauma and phobias.
The material base is modern, accessible and the materials and equipment used are of the latest generation and in accordance with the latest research in the field of therapeutic and remedial intervention.
The proposed recovery program is very complex, the CONIL Center offering a wide range of services. Within the CONIL Center, the parents, together with the specialists, contribute to the elaboration of an individualized intervention plan according to the child’s needs. At the same time, our specialists are in constant contact with the educators from the kindergarten and the CONIL School and together with them they can adapt the educational curriculum for the child’s needs (this is done only for the children enrolled in the CONIL school or kindergarten).
Also, the CONIL Center has developed numerous Supportive Counseling programs for parents coming to their aid but has also organized numerous free webinars for both parents and teachers, therapists and psychologists who come in contact with children with special needs.
The CONIL center offers the following services for children with special needs or emotional disorders:
The parent’s first meeting with the therapist. On this occasion, the therapist receives all the information about the child so that he can guide the parent to the specialists who will evaluate the child (family doctor, pediatric psychiatrist, pediatric neuropsychologist, medical check-up or other specialty).
If there is a diagnosis and there are certain medical indications, the appropriate psychological tests necessary for the evaluation are established, the therapeutic team is formed and the psychological evaluation is scheduled.
During this meeting, the offer of services is also presented and details about the right services are given. At the same time, the parent can come into contact with the entire material base of the center.
Initial evaluation is very important for building the therapeutic plan.
The clinical psychologists of the center offer a complex assessment that monitors the child’s developmental level, IQ level, language development level, acquisition level, emotional development, socialization.
For the accuracy of the evaluation and for the conclusion of the data, our psychologists use a wide range of licensed tests.
The purpose of this evaluation is to serve for the elaboration of the individualized intervention plan.
The result of the evaluation is communicated to the parent, who is advised on the type and number of optimal therapies needed to ensure maximum possible progress and on how the parent can manage the relationship with the child.
Basically, the initial evaluation is the basis on which all intervention programs are built on each development area. These assessments will be followed by reassessments or progress assessments that will monitor the child’s progress.
IIn the meetings prior to the beginning of the therapy, the terms of the re-evaluation are established, the period of time when the team meets and the form of reporting.
In most cases, the course evaluation will take place every 3 months, after each evaluation there will be a communication with the parent regarding all the changes and the progress / changes that have occurred.
At the same time, it will be decided together with the parent if changes in the structure or the number of therapy sessions are necessary.
The beginning of the therapy takes place at the moment when the evaluation is finished, by creating the personalized intervention plan specific to the included forms of therapy and related exclusively to the child’s developmental level and his / her learning rhythm.
The intervention plan includes a number of items placed in a complex and detailed specific therapeutic project, with tasks involving the whole team, therapists, parents, educators, teachers, physiotherapists.
ABA therapy and occupational therapy are the forms of behavioral therapy chosen by our therapists because, according to research, they are the forms of therapy listed as having the best results in the evolution and progress of children.
Occupational Therapy and ABA Therapy are one therapeutic interventions based on the foundations of scientific research. Their goal is to initiate or significantly improve behaviors.
The number of therapy hours will be established by the intervention plan and will be discussed and validated by the parents.
Therapy is based only on positive reinforcement and ignoring disruptive behaviors using modeling techniques, starting these therapies at an early age will speed recovery.
The goal of this therapy is to initiate or develop desirable social behaviors by reducing stereotypical or self-stimulating behaviors, improving cognitive acquisition, increasing the ability to understand the message, increasing resistance to frustration, reducing aggressive behaviors, increasing attention span.
Within the day center, occupational therapy is carried out in one-on-one sessions when numerous adapted and carefully selected work materials are used, depending on the child’s condition and age.
As a result of the pandemic situation, with the support of the parents, the occupational therapy classes can be supported online so that the child does not go out of the established rhythm and does not have syncope in obtaining information and forming work routines.
Speech therapy is a complex therapy whose ultimate goal is communication in all its forms, speech comprehension, correct reproduction of speech in a conversational way but also in writing and reading.
Stages of therapy:
-Development of the phonoarticulator device / Development of phonemic hearing
-Sound stimulation / Sound setting / Sound consolidation / Sound automation
-Introduction of sound in syllables and then in words
-Sound differentiation
-Practice poor sound in sentences
-Introduction of sound in the text
-Vocabulary development
-Therapy for removing echolalia
-Practice fine motor skills
-Graphic exercise
-Therapy for dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia
Speech therapy classes will be performed one by one and materials and ways of working adapted to both the individual needs of the child and the chronological age will be used. Our goal is to be able to decode messages, to pronounce correctly, to reduce stuttering or echolalia, to correct pronunciation defects of different sounds or groups of sounds, etc.
As in the case of occupational therapy, speech therapy classes can be done online with the help of the parent.

Our coaches work with children with special needs and have experience with them. We work both in small groups (maximum 6 children) but also individually.

Through the cooking workshop we set out to develop this ability of children to create different recipes, dishes but especially to know how to taste them.
We will start by teaching them notions of nutrition and healthy eating and we will end up making different pastries and delicious foods together.
At the end of each course we will taste together the products made. We will also learn what types of ingredients to use, which are the best and healthiest.

These classes are recommended for all children who do not cope with the math and Romanian classes held in class. They help to fix the learned notions, to understand the concepts and to ensure an adequate framework in which the child can practice and repeat the learned notions.
Numerous intuitive materials are used in the center so that the child can more easily understand the studied notions.
Each child has his own pace of development and ability to understand so that our teachers strive to reach the maximum potential of the child.
Children with special needs always need support and a lot of patience when doing homework, learning or memorizing. It often takes hours one to one to focus on the task. For this reason, our specialists have developed teaching methods that are as friendly as possible and use a lot of teaching materials to help understand the notions by example.
Remedial classes can be addressed both to children in primary education but also to those in the middle or high school cycle.
Establishing the optimal way of working (group or individual) is based on an initial assessment in which we determine what the child’s needs are and identify his learning style.
The remedial classes take place in the CONIL 2 Day Center from 55 Drumul COOperativei Street, no.
The rates for Romanian math and lb remedial classes are as follows:
-Individual – 140 lei / 1 hour session. The association supports 20 lei / hour. The parent pays 120 lei / hour
-Group of max 5 children – 90 lei / 1 hour session. The association supports 20 lei / hour. The parent pays 70 lei / hour
