“Diversity is a strength, not a threat – yet racism, xenophobia, and intolerance are problems prevalent in every country, in all parts of the world.”
The United Nation has addressed yesterday in a social media post some of the problems the ongoing worldwide issues. The biggest of concerns so far goes to racism, which is a highly debated topic in nowadays society. The United Nations also invites people to take a quiz to test their knowledge on human rights and discrimination, to celebrate activists from all over the world and to seek different perspectives and share their thoughts on these topics. In that spirit, with the hashtag #Standup4humanrights, CONIL wants to take a stand and participate in the fight for equal rights!
At CONIL, we promote and support fairness and justice for all people, regardless their ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, mental health state or disabilities. Fighting for over 15 years for access to quality education for atypical children, we are finally taking a stand and becoming allies for minorities all over the world. With the hope that one day we will live in a society that celebrates diversity and does not discriminate against people for having a different skin tone, being disabled or wearing a hijab, today, together we #Standup4humanrights.
